mtv true life:i stutter
Posted January 19, 2009 by omniscient

So i just got done watching true life i stutter for the second time, this time i was able to watch the whole thing through without having to turn the channel. For some reason i cannever watch someone going through a stuttering situation, it just sends a weird feeling down my body , i tense up myself(feeling what there going through)the struggle of watching someone is hard because to me it has brought alot of torment.

Pros and Cons for the episode:

does the negative attention brought on by the episode, like some people leaving jokes about it on youtube and in the forums laughing about it like its an act, out weight the positves?

Absolutly not, the positives win because those three people were so brave enough to allow mtv to film there lives.Im sure each one of them had a hard time growing up with stuttering, and to allow a national tv show to film, the "torment" we live everyday is so amazing.(BIG PROS TO THEM)

Also that episode brought so much publicity and awarness about stuttering, if it werent for that episode people wouldnt know how bad stuttering can be.The person i kind of relate to is Tim(of course hes the only guy) but i relate to him because ive had to have someone make that telephone call for me(my sister),ive had to go to that job interview and stutter all the way through.

My stuttering is moderate, at least thats the score i got when i applied for the speech easy. The people on the show seemed to be pretty severe stutters, people that know i stutter say my stutter isnt that bad, but in my eyes its severe i guess the truth lies in the eyes of the beholder.
