Thanksgiving is Approching...

With a week away, Thanksgiving is coming fast. What is Thanksgiving? Besides going out and eating alot of Turkey... Well to me Thanksgiving is what it means. Being Thankful. As a person who stutters I am Thankful for this site. A site where you can express yourself and be yourself. I am Thankful that I have a beautiful family, which includes my wife of 5 years Michelle, and 3 beautiful children. Gabe 12, Sandy 2 1/2 and John Joseph (JJ) 8 months.

I have came to conclusion with my stuttering that I would like to share with all of you... There are 2 ways to look at your stuttering. The first, to accept it and don't let it control your life. Trust me it can if you let it. When I was younger I used to think that way and everything I did always came to my stuttering.

For an example, High School they have these dances and I really wanted to go. However I didn't because I thought people would treat me differently and make a scene because of my stutter.. I was very self consious in my youth. I missed out having a great time.

I give this example because it probably happened to you so you can relate.

The second way which I don't recommend, is to let your stutter get the better of you. Have you ever wondered why its easier to bad things than good? Because with doing good things you have to put a serious effort and takes time to accomplish,

I am a good example of having my stutter go from bad to good. It takes real effort and hard work but if you work on it and make it a life time goal you can achieve anything you put your mind to it! Just remember that...
